What is the rental fee and what does it include?

What dates are available?
Is there a deposit?  When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?

We do require a $1,000 booking fee after the contract is signed. The second installment is due nine months prior to the event and will be 50% of the remaining balance.  The final installment will be required 30 days prior to the event.  You are welcome to send more frequent payments as long as the due dates are met at nine months and thirty days prior to your event.  We also require a credit card on file for any damages to the facility or grounds.
How do I reserve a date?

We recommend a tour of our chapel and farm in person or a one-on-one virtual tour before reserving a date. However, if you choose to reserve a date online, please email us at renee@sweetpromisefarm.com with the subject line, “ I’m ready to book.” Please provide preferred date and a back-up date if your preferred date is not available. Upon request, if date is available, a contract will be sent over and a $1000 deposit will be due to secure your date.
 
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?

Is there a food and beverage or guest count minimum?

We do not require a food and beverage minimum. Your wedding can be as intimate as you choose, we do not have a minimum guest count. 
 
Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?

Even though we have a wonderful list of vendors that are familiar with the space and operations, it is not a requirement. Vendors such as caterers, bartenders, and DJs must be submitted to us for approval if they are not on our preferred list.
Will there be another wedding the same day?

You are the star of the show. Currently, we only offer one wedding a weekend to provide our couples with the time and energy they deserve on this special day.
Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

We are within 15 mins from reasonable accommodations.
How many cars will your parking area accommodate?

We can accommodate for 80+ cars
Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc?

We have gorgeous wooden tables that do not require table linen. We do not provide dining ware.
What happens in case of rain?

At Sweet Promise Farm, we offer a year-round venue.  If inclement weather is anticipated, we can accommodate your entire event indoors.  We have a caring team that can transform your ceremony into reception while keeping your guests dry and comfortable.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at Sweet Promise Farm. Does your price change?

We book by the day and not by the hour and for that reason the price doesn’t change.
Do you allow dogs onsite to play a part in our wedding day?

We are an animal-friendly farm and would love to have your furry friends as part of your big day!  We just ask they remain on a leash and are cared for by someone other than the bride and groom.
What form of payment does Sweet Promise Farm accept?

Our preferred payment is a check or valid credit card.
My preferred dates are unavailable. Do you have a cancellation waiting list?

If your preferred date is unavailable, we can take note of your request and notify you via email if the date opens up.  If you do not respond within 48 hours, the next person on the waiting list will be contacted or, if no one else is waiting, the date will be released to the website.
What time will I have access to the venue to decorate?

If you choose the two-day rental, you will have access to the venue at noon on Friday. If you choose the one-day rental, you will have access at 10 am on Saturday morning.
Do you include a "wedding day coordinator?"

While we offer certain assistance in items related to the venue, we do not offer formal wedding planning services.  You may hire your own outside wedding planner, with whom we would be happy to assist.  We do offer a one-on-one meeting prior to the event to discuss your chosen décor, vendors and schedule. On the big day we will have a care team that will help direct your vendors, decorate reception hall as discussed in advance, and will be available to lend a hand.
When is the next open house?
What time do you suggest we start the ceremony?

This is entirely up to you, but we would recommend a 5pm start and may consider earlier for weddings during daylight savings time.  Please take note of our closing-time policy.
How will the tables, chairs, etc. be arranged for my sized event?

We will discuss possible layouts in your one-on-one planning session prior to the big day.
If we choose the one-day option, will we be able to access the location early to rehearse our ceremony? 

You will be able to arrive at 10am. If vendors need earlier access, we ask they call us directly to coordinate.
Can we have fireworks on the property?

Fireworks must be operated by an insured vendor we have approved prior to the big day.  We also have the right to refuse at anytime if we feel it will be unsafe due to outdoor conditions or weather.
Can vehicles be left overnight?

All vehicles must be off the property by Sunday morning after the designated cleaning-time.  However, we are not responsible for any theft or damage to vehicles.
What time does the music need to end?

 We love our neighbors and want to be courteous to them. Therefore, we ask that the music end by 10pm and everyone has left the property by 11pm.
We are using a rental company.  Can they drop items off or pick them up outside of the rental period?

Yes, we ask they contact us directly to coordinate.
Are candles allowed?

Yes, candles are allowed if the flame is completely contained in a candle holder.  Tapered candles and any type of hanging candles will not be allowed for safety reasons.
How far in advance do you need our final headcount?

We need a firm head count upon your one-on-one planning session.
What is the event clean-up process?

Included in the cost of rental, a professional cleaning service will mop and sweep floors and service bathrooms on Sunday afternoon.  Prior to this, we ask all other trash and miscellaneous items be removed.  For your convenience, we allow you a two-hour cleaning window on Sunday morning.  Trash bags and bins are provided on site.
Can we take photos around the farm on our wedding day?

Yes, we have several picturesque locations on our property.  For your safety and convenience, our team would be happy to provide transportation. Also, you have access to land during monthly open house events for bridal photos or engagement included in rental.
Can we nail decorations to the walls or hang things like streamers or items from the beam?

We request that holes are not placed in the walls.  The beam in our main hall is not reachable by a ladder.  For this reason, we do not allow for anything to be hung from the beam.  We will provide a means for you to drape streamers or hang items of a reasonable weight along the wall.
